Gutter Cleaning and Clearing
KEEPING YOUR GUTTERS CLEAR
Bawden Managed Landscapes gutter cleaning teams will keep a regular check on your buildings' gutters to ensure they remain clean and free from obstruction. We operate strictly within the requirements of the Working at Height Regulations 2005 and, where access is difficult, we will use either a mobile elevated working platform (MEWP ) or your building's own integral access equipment.
The increased incidence of heavy rainfall in recent years, particularly in the West of England, means that roof debris is becoming dislodged and finding its way into gutters. As they become obstructed, water cascades over the gutters, failing to reach the building's storm drains or water butts and, instead, overburdens street drains and sewers. This ultimately results in localised flooding, which - as you can imagine - we generally we want to avoid!
SUDS
Sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS) are ways in which drainage systems are designed to coincide with natural water processes. Here at Bawden Managed Landscapes, we are dedicated to protecting the environment and we follow a set of green initiatives to ensure the surroundings in which we work are taken care of; water conservation and management, as well as SUDS, form part of these initiatives.
If you would like advice on the use of sustainable drainage systems in urban areas, or if you're in search of ideas to help improve your water management, give us a call - we are more than happy to offer advice free of charge.
