Bawden Managed Landscapes have been maintaining MUGA and synthetic sand filled sports pitches for over 20 years. As 'astro turf' pitches have become more mainstream and popular, the demand for services has increased. Originally, we only maintained the artificial surfaces at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, Shrivenham, near Swindon. However, the team now maintain pitches across Wiltshire on a regular basis. As a result of this increased demand, new equipment was required. The new brush system was purchased from Artificial Grass Maintenance in Cambridge after trialling a number of difference systems.
Richard Bawden, Managing Director, commented:
"We have been receiving enquiries from a range of clubs and schools regarding pitch brushing. With different surfaces, it was important to find a brush system that is flexible and suitable for a variety of pitch types; the 'Renew2' fits the bill!"
As well as this new brush system, we boast a range of equipment that enables us to offer a variety of maintenance service for both natural and artificial pitch surfaces. The brush is modular, in that different combinations of rakes, brushes and boxes can be fitted depending upon the type of artificial pitch, thus providing great flexibility. Bawden Managed Landscapes will be using the new brush in conjunction with one of their 4 wheel drive quad bikes, providing great traction alongside extremely low ground pressure. The new brush system will be deployed on existing contracts, but new enquiries for cleaning works or regular visits are welcome!
