Becoming a member of Constructionline and being accredited by them in various disciplines means that we will be able to extend the customer base in specific areas. In particular the are looking to increase business with developers, estate management companies and retail parks offering a complete package from landscape construction and subsequent maintenance, to tree surgery and surveys, commercial fencing and general grounds maintenance.
Bawden are based in Central Southern England and therefore ideally located to take on new works in the Berkshire, Surrey, Hampshire and Wiltshire quadrant.
Commercial grounds maintenance has been the main focus of the Bawden Managed Landscapes team over the past 30 years, and in particular with the Ministry of Defence. However, there have been significant changes in this market relatively recently, particularly in the procurement process which is now structured in favour of national providers, some of which are foreign owned. Bawden is not a national supplier, by design, and therefore has diversified its service offering and continues to do so in order to evolve the business in a related but slightly different direction. The Constructionline verification is part of this process as are a number of other initiative the Bawden team are currently working on.
